Norwich-based feedback company Freeboon is considering exploiting the widespread use of mobile phones to give organisations a rapid insight into what their customers really think and says a number of high street businesses are already interested in the idea. [via The Business].

"Negotiations are under way with many high street names such as Boots, Waitrose, Starbucks and Pret a Manger, along with other organisations like the police and the NHS, for patient feedback.

The system works by looking at the information contained within the text message sent by the customer, recording it in an online database and, according to a set of instructions, undertaking a series of 'intelligent' actions with the information."
