A wonderful article today about a colossal star burst which occured in December and how astronomers around the world were notified by SMS. "These days, when the brightest explosions are detected in space, or an such changes in the universe, a message pops up on hundreds of astronomers' cell phones around the world courtesy of satellites like Swift, reports SGVTribune. And on Dec. 27, the brightest flash ever detected outside of the solar system lit the heavens for a fraction of a second, illuminating the Earth's upper atmosphere, scientists announced Friday".
