N.H. mulls ban on cell phone by drivers under 18
A bill to ban cell-phone use by drivers under age 18 has some surprising supporters -- some of those who would be affected, reports the Boston Globe. Teenagers interviewed about the bill showed that the image of teenagers considering themselves invincible isn't always true when the subject is driving. Some acknowledge they are still learning. States around the country are considering ways to limit cell phone use for drivers in general and especially for those under 18. Maine and New Jersey already restrict young drivers' cell phone use, and a legislative committee in Virginia endorsed an under-18 ban this week." |
