Stroke Detecting Phone
Japanese company KDDI has developed a cell phone that they claim can help detect strokes via transmitted CT scans with as much accuracy as scans viewed in hospitals. [Nikkei.net via Popgadget] "The new system immediately sends diagnostic images of patients to the cell phones of neurosurgeons, located away from their hospital, via KDDI's high-speed data transmission service."
