U.S. Cellular to provide free Halloween safety kits
To help parents ensure a safe Halloween, U.S. Cellular will give away free Halloween safety bags at local stores beginning Oct. 27, while supplies last, reports Ardrmoreite.com. "Bags will include glow sticks and other safety items, and of course, carrying a cell phone while trick-or-treating provides additional security and peace of mind. "While planning a trick-or-treat route, parents can pre-program the cell phone with updates to send from certain points along the way. By filing messages such as "Meet at Main and State" or "B home in 15" in the "saved" text folder, trick-or-treaters only have to press "send" to deliver the text message. A cell phone's alarm clock is another great tool for parents. When they set a curfew Halloween night, parents can set their kids' cell phone alarm clock to give them a reminder when it's time to head home. " |
