Philly airport gets lot for drivers awaiting incoming passengers

Philadelphia International Airport joins the growing list of airports to provide a temporary parking space for motorists on their way to pick up passengers, who notifiy them by cell phone once they've landed. "In the three years since the airport cracked down on drivers waiting for passengers outside the baggage-claim gates in response to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, drivers have been increasingly waiting on the shoulder of Interstate 95 and other roads with cell phones. When the passengers they are picking up land, they phone the drivers, who then approach the airport", reports Nepa News.
