pei.cbc.ca reports that the island of P.E.I. in Canada, where drunk driving charges have always benn the highest, there were more charges last year, than ever before - thanks to cell phones. "RCMP Sgt. Mike Murphy believes the increase is linked to the number of people reporting drunk drivers. We find that with the increased access to cell phones now that we're getting a lot more calls from people who are actually on the highway and see signs of an alcohol-related offense, or an impaired driver," says Murphy" |
