Lost hikers use text messaging to gain help
An Arcadia woman and her daughter were rescued Wednesday in the Olancha Pass (California) after family members received text messages asking for help, reports the Porterville Reporter. "During the hike the two became disoriented and sent a text message, telling family they were lost and provided an approximate location. A Rescue Team was then successful in locating the two in the Summit Meadow area".
