Advert TV Channel offers Ads for downloading on cell phone
The world's first channel devoted exclusively to ads makes it debut in September, allowing viewers to tune in 24 hours a day to their favourite 30-second commercials, reports The Sydney Morning Herald. "The British Advert Channel will feature a game show devoted to ad trivia, behind-the-scenes docu-mentaries on how ads are put together and phone polls to find out Britain's favourite ads and TV shows. And if that is not enough, viewers will also get the chance to take on the professionals and make their own ads". That's interesting enough, but what's relevant to this column is that this new show expects to generate revenue by charging viewers to take part in phone polls and to download ads on to their mobile phones. |
