Aussie teen phone users top world after Hong Kong
Teenagers in Australia lead the world in mobile telephone use, with 45 per cent of 13 to 15-year-olds owning a mobile, according to The Taylor Nelson Sofres Asia Telecoms Index, reports The Courrier Mail. "Australians in that age group were more likely to own a mobile than anywhere but Hong Kong. SMS, ringtones and logos were the most used services, but the highest growth potential was in location-based services – such as finding the nearest pub or cinema or offering driving or walking directions – video calls, directories, television, downloading music, MMS and video clips." |
