UrbanWorld Wireless announces the launch of the first mobile content and information portal specifically geared to the urban market, catering to young, hip, mobile phone users, according to a company press release. Starting today, users can go to urbanworldwireless.com and download the latest ringtones, wallpapers and video games directly to their mobile phones. In addition to content, UrbanWorld Wireless users can subscribe to receive exclusive 'Party Alertz,' a premium SMS sent directly to their mobile phones, whenever an urban party or event is scheduled in the selected city. At launch, Party Alerts are available for Chicago, Los Angeles and New York for AT&T Wireless, Verizon Wireless and Cingular subscribers. As a premium SMS, subscribers will be charged $0.30 by their wireless carrier for each Party Alertz received. |
