Homeland Security report suggests mobile phone blasts
The non-governmental American watchdog group Council for Excellence in Government has released a new report on the work done by the recently-created US Department of Homeland Security, claiming that the agency can and should do more with mobile technology to keep citizens up to date on emergency developments. [InfoSync World] "The report did not state what sorts of emergency information should be sent to subscribers. To date there have been no terrorism-related emergencies within the United States since the World Trade Center bombing on 11 September 2001". |
