Answering phone beats sex
Sex, bathing, working, shopping and exercise all come second to answering a mobile phone for almost half of Australians, according to a new survey, according to News.com. "The Siemens Mobile Lifestyle Survey of 371 Australians found 48 per cent would stop whatever they were doing no matter where they were to answer a mobile phone, even if they were in a "compromising situation". Some other enlightening findings: - 25 per cent of Australians schedule all their social events and engagements using their mobile phone and as such most could not bear to be without it. - 39 per cent of young people said they would return home to retrieve their mobile phone if they had forgotten it. - 23 per cent of Aussies call or send SMS messages to their loved ones several times a day. - 3 per cent send messages to wrong numbers to flirt with someone new. - 10 per cent like to talk dirty on their mobile phones. - 10 per cent of men think sending risque photos by mobile enhances their love life - only 5 per cent of women agree. - 57 per cent think the trend has made society less courteous. - 20 per cent of men and 14 per cent of women admit they can become so engrossed in mobile phone conversations they lose track of just how loud they are speaking. |
