Mobile sales pass the half-billion mark
According to figures just released by Strategy Analytics, more than 516 million handsets were shipped in 2003, reports Electric News Net. "Nokia has more that 35 percent of the global handset market, followed by Motorola with more than 16 percent. Samsung has almost 10 percent of the market and Siemens has slightly more than eight percent. Strategy Analytics numbers are broadly supported by those of IDC, which were also published on Tuesday.
