Dutch Attraction Park Pilots Mobile Ticketing
As of this week it is possible to enter Dutch attraction park Efteling with an SMS text message based on mobile ticketing technology from LogicaCMG, according to Yahoo News. Users no longer need to buy their entrance ticket at the counter or in stores, but receive a mobile ticket via SMS on their mobile phone. "The m-tickets can be ordered via a special order form on the Efteling internet site and payments are done via credit card. When the payment is completed, the participant receives an SMS message enclosing a special, two-dimensional barcode. With this code visitors can directly walk up to the control points at Efteling, where the barcode is scanned and entrance to the park is granted, thus avoiding queues at the park's vending point." |
