AT&T launches fast data service
AT&T Wireless Services, the third-largest U.S. wireless carrier, launched a new service Tuesday that it said offers the fastest access to data via cell phones in North America, reports Wired. The service, called EDGE, for Enhanced Data GSM Environment, is at least twice as fast as current General Packet Radio Service networks. |
