Cell phones go walkie-talkie
As consumers will soon be allowed to keep their phone numbers when they change moible operators - the number portability rule goes into effect Nov. 24 - carriers and marketers are ramping up walkie-talkie features that can operate with a code rather than actual telephone numbers, according to Yahoo News. Wireless carriers hope the Push-to-talk feature will be an attractive incentive to customers not to give up their cellular number. |
