SMS Handling

Email Forwarding

With Email Forwarding, we pass the details of your inbound SMS to you and your staff via email so that you are informed of new SMS without having to check your SMS Inbox.

BusinessLink, for example, put together an above-the-line marketing campaign encouraging people to request a call-back by texting TTS to a shared inbound number. They chose Email Forwarding as a means of real-time notification so that they could respond as quickly as possible to any call-back requests.

Furthermore, by combining Email Forwarding with Email-to-SMS, you can have an email-based 'out of the box' 2-way SMS solution.

SMS API

Using our HTTP API, SMTP API and/or SMPP Interface, your inbound SMS can be forwarded to your own remote applications in real-time. And, because the SMS gets handed over to you, handling is limited to your imagination, with examples including:

  • Dynamic responses
  • SMS-to-Database
  • SMS-to-Website
  • SMS-to-Software
  • SMS-to-SMS
  • SMS-to-Screen
  • SMS-to-TV
  • SMS-to-Blog
  • SMS-to-Voice
  • SMS-to-Braile
  • Home Automation
  • etc

Static Response

Although use of our APIs allow you to send back dynamic replies, we also provide you with the ability to provide pre-written replies which can be sent back immediately upon receipt of inbound SMS.

Although they can be used to provide canned responses in multiple choice SMS quizzes, they are most often used to provide acknowledgements as a best practice - so that mobile users are not left in doubt as to whether their messages have been received or not.
