Iteration #174: Kind Boots

It has come to our attention that messages being routed to France *appear* to have an 8 minute delivery delay.

It turns out that this is due to a change on the partner network that resulted in an 8 minute difference in their system time, and NOT due to an actual delay in delivery.

We have put an offset in place to ensure that delivery timestamps accurately represent actual deliveries and we apologise for any confusion.

Due to circumstances outside of our control, we've had to increase the delivery cost to Japan by £0.005.

We usually aim to give our clients as much notice as possible. However, in this case, we have not been able to.

We apologise profusely.

Iteration #172: Juvenile Giants

In this iteration, we have made 199 changes to our coverage and pricing.

Of these changes, 142 relate to price reductions and 57 relate to price increases. What is most interesting about all of these changes though is that the reductions are in areas where we drive lots of traffic (e.g. France, Singapore), whilst the increases are in mostly in areas where are traffic levels are very low.

This means that most of you will benefit from the reductions and very few, if any, will be impacted by the increases.

We've also added 17 new destinations to our coverage. These are Congo - Republic of the, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Eritrea, Korea (North), Libya, Micronesia, Montserrat, Nauru, Norfolk Island, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Samoa, Sao Tome and Principe, Solomon Islands & Timor-Leste.

Our coverage & pricing pages and CSV downloads have automatically been updated. But if you'd like to study the changes, you can do so through this colour-coded MS Excel file which we will soon replace with dynamic charts that show the pricing history for each destination.

Please note that, if you were amongst the customers receiving rebates for payments made with Moneybookers and money transfers, these are no longer being given. So, despite the overall cost of messaging being reduced, the credit card handling charge is now being accepted on our side within the price per SMS.
